For those who have ever played the actual “The Settlers of Catan” board game, this game will just shine that much more. Being a fan of the board game I went in to playing this Arcade game with great enthusiasm and high expectations. This Game delivered by keeping to its core aspect and not making it over fancy.
I really enjoyed the fact you can change the original board graphic to an animated version of it, it just made it that much more unique. You also have the option to speed up the game which I found quite nice as well. It is turn base so it might not be for everyone, but then again it is based off of a board game. The learning curve is fairly simple; to the point my 6 and 8 year old children are able to play with me.
I would recommend this game to anyone who likes playing board games with their friends. With Catan being available on the Xbox Arcade it makes it that much easier to sit down and play against other Catan fans over LIVE multiplayer.
